If you enable SSH over wifi by adding an iptables rule (see yifanlu's simple usbnet hack for the kindle touch), then you can use sshfs on the host pc to mount the kindles entire file system on a host PC.
You can also install an sftp server on the client. This is already done for you with the usbnet hack for kindle 3 and earlier. You can copy the file yourself to your kindle if it is not already installed.
With sftp, you can then use WinSCP (as suggested by miguelos above). I use WinSCP on my windows box. It lets you browse your kindle filesystem in a explorer window.
