I share a common opinion. I love to read books and only find audiobooks useful (but also essential) for long commutes. If the drive is less than about 45 minutes (my one-way drive time to and from work is 30 min.), then I'd prefer listen to NPR, music, think, etc. Long hauls are where I give in to audiobooks out of desperation.
