The Harlequin site doesn't list it as part of this series, but
Man with the Muscle is actually part.
And the Taylor Clan books are a kind of prequel series. Many of the characters from these books pop up in various The Precinct books. The only novel length one not available is her first book,
One Good Man. But with the exception of her The Precint: Brotherhood of the Badge mini-series all can be read as stand alones. I enjoyed some more than others, but at mostly 5 cents a book I bought them all.
In addition to many of the authors already listed here, I brought all of the available Jennifer Greene, Karen Templeton and Merline Lovelace books I didn't already have in e.
