Thanks all for the information. My mom wants to be able to play audiobooks from the library (not the downloadable ones) - she wouldn't have too many on her kindle, just one at a time.

Bookworm Girl, thanks for that information - I thought the audible folder was for Audible.com books only.

Now - any suggestions for software to convert library audio books to mp3 format? I use iTunes, but I'm not sure whether that would be too confusing for my parents (they're almost 90, but pretty technically savvy, or at least my dad is. He's become the resident Kindle expert for his retirement community!)
