I know for a fact that this CPU will go to 1Gz and remain stable and relatively cool. Although long-term heat degradation does come into play.
However, it obviously voids your warranty to do it and messing with overclocking is not something you should do unless you're experienced with that sort of thing. Unless you happen to know the thermal failure point of this particular i.MX chip and have the tools to monitor it's temperature, probably best not to do it for now.
