He's very similar. Maybe a little more whacked out, but lots of fun. I also agree with the Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson, the first being, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I would also recommend The Devil in the White City : Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America by Erik Larson.
