I concur pretty much with what most people have said. The first three Gor books were ok, but got very tedious after that, and I read quite a few of them in my younger days. The films were dire and very typical of the fantasy genre of the 80s.

thanks to the wonder of ebooks I've now been re-introduced to some of favourite authors without the need to invest in the paper.

now currently re-reading A Princess of Mars some 30 years after first reading. with a long list of others waiting in the wings
