I guess I need to update. You were right in your assessment about re-registering. I had tried to re-register. What can I do now? I think I have Ermine. How can I determine what OS I have?
Thanks,

I wouldn't update just yet. You need to verify that Digital Rights Management (DRM) is enabled on your Edge. Hook up your EE to a PC using a USB cable and opening Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) which is authorized to your PC with your Adobe account and see if the Edge shows up in ADE. If it does, this means the Edge's DRM is enabled. If not, ADE should offer to enable DRM to the Edge which likely will correct your problem.

Where did you buy the books from? The Code 45 and 46 errors suggest the books appear to be attempting to contact Entourage which indicates you may have purchased the books from them. Is this a correct assumption? If so, try exporting the books from the Library to a USB drive and try adding them to the ADE Library and then transferring them back to the Edge. Because you re-registered your EE you may have to re-copy the DRM protected books from a PC to the EE using Adobe Digital Editions for the books to be re-authorized to your reader.
