Yes, the custom column Collections in both libraries has the same properties.

The reference to merging refers to the treatment of those books which are present in both libraries. I have found a Copy to library reference in the Adding books preferences, and also there, a reference to Automerge.

I have set them accordingly.

However, I cannot find a menu item called Copy to library. Do I use the Add books from a single directory function? It does not seem to permit selection of a complete library to be copied to the current one.
