Hi JSWolf,
silly or not, I have decided never to give a dime to Sony unless I really have to. The reason is their general we-will-screw-up-our-customer-whenever-we-see-fit attitude (cd rootkits, psn hacking handling, dropping of other os support for ps3 to name a few cases).

I have made a quick search on czech ebook sites and they are apparently selling books without drm or with adobe drm. So no - I would not be locked into Amazon. And I would also like to read my pdb books comfortably, so I will be using Calibre anyway. All in all I do not really see formats and drm as an issue anymore. I am now more interested in those two topics I have posted earlier, i.e. is Kindle comparatively better hardware-/software-wise than other gadgets (sony excluded) and what are the pros and cons of touch interface (although I might move this question into Kindle section if I get positive answer to previous question).
Thanks
