The series was great, as far as I read it. (Up until #4 - I had #5 pre-orered for years, but at some point of time the seller dropped my order.) However I would not recommend it reading it now, simply because it is unfinished. The story has no closing yet. Judging from the publication history it does not look like it is going to be finished.

If reading unfinished stuff does not bother you that much, go ahead and start reading, this is some of the best fantasy available.
