Eh, they should just let everyone walk around nude like IIRC (aside from weapons and jewelry, also IIRC) they're supposed to and rely on strategically placed cutesy cartoon sidekick animals and elaborate song-and-dance musical number acrobatics for the discretionary blocking shots.

I'm guessing they were both live action rather than animated. Cartoonishness makes potentially cheesy things considerably funnier and thus more entertaining, IMHO. Apparently at one point Dark Horse Comics was going to release a GN adaptation of Gor. I have no idea whether they ended up doing it or not.
