GIMP is full of capabilities but it is not "huge" or "confusing", unless you are easily
distracted.
Once GIMP 2 is installed (a simpler process than your "Image Magick", by the way)
you would just:
1. Find the .gif file you want to convert and right-click on it.
2. Select "Edit with GIMP".
3. Click on the "File" tab and select "Save As".
4. Click on the "Select File Type" text near the "Help" button, and select "JPEG image".
5. Select the type of jpg you want from the pop-up.
6. "Save as JPEG" by clicking on the "Save" button.
