Transferring books to a Libre Pro

I have a Libre Pro. When i open Calibre and attach my Libre Pro I get the error message "Error Communicating with Device"

The details are:

calibre, version 0.8.33
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

[Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: u'J:\\metadata.calibre'

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 81, in run
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 333, in _books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 240, in books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 384, in sync_booklists
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 381, in write_prefix
IOError: [Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: u'J:\\metadata.calibre'

I can still transfer books to my device. They just don't show up on Calibre as being on the device. The books are there and they open on the device.

This is the only eReader I have trouble with. This reader use to show the device on Calibre. However, every once in awhile i would get the error message cannot commucate with the devise and the book would not be on the devise. Now the message is at the start and no more error messages about communicating with the device.
