It's curious how apps will hijack the external SD card and not tell you about it. Any time you remove the card to import a book, you have to go through the steps of unmounting the card. Then, when you put it back in, it mounts automatically. However, the last time I put it back, it didn't seat and bounced back out again, so I had to push it in again until it stayed. Meanwhile, there was a bunch of stuff abut the SD card on the status line and when I looked in my library, most of the books were gone and I had to download them again. I now use Dropbox to sideload books so I don't have to mess with the SD card any more than necessary.
