I can't speak for anyone else, but in my case I sometimes want a physical memento of a much loved book or series. That's why, as I mentioned in my previous post, I purchased Ghost Story (Dresden Files #13) in hardcover. While I'd love to have the entire series in beautiful Roc hardcovers on my shelf, I really can't justify it, so I'm content to have just the one, which is the one released this past year when I started reading the series. Sometimes a book is more than the text between the covers (or in the ebook file). I don't feel that way about many books, though.
