It turns out the author also offers 2 freebie tie-in holiday-themed short stories for this series directly on her website (PDF).

And apparently Ellora's Cave classes the sequels to this as "Urban Fantasy" since all the books follow the same heroine solving problems and having adventures in her paranormal world, rather than switching from couple to couple to establish new romantic relationships, which I am given to understand is the main difference between UF and PNR.

Although those Angie Fox Demonslayer books all follow the same couple's developing relationship as they adventure-problem-solve and tend to be filed under PNR, so who knows?

Either way, hawt sexyfuntimes and relationship drama are presumed to be involved, and I suppose that's really the main attraction for the publisher's target audience.
