I still by paperbacks, as well as still supporting the author (which the eBook would as well) it supports the small local bookshop I've been buying from for 10-15 years. Until the big American based chains moved in this place was the only one locally I could buy the books I liked to read, and their prices were very good. Good customer service and prices = loyalty. Looking into the future I'll probably by fewer paperbacks as the space required to store them becomes an issue.
Mind you this is different to my attitude with any of the photography equipment I buy, mostly because of the price difference on the photography gear in the small stores to the price I can get online.
