Does kobo become slower with too many books

as everyone knows the kindle becomes slower and slower as more and more books are loaded and is prone to freezing/rebooting/clunkiness,etc.due to too mny books.

question is the kobo the same?

i understand that in the basic version below for £67 from asda you can insert a sd memory card up to 32gb.

the question has anyone here loaded 4000 to 10000 books and observed its performance such as freezing/rebooting/clunkiness,slow performance, etc?

do it slow down does it the same.

is there any difference between accessing books from sd card or from the on board 1gb storage such as freezing/rebooting/clunkiness,slow performance, etc?

is it slowed down at all?

does it have folders support or is it just have collections/tag system as in the kindle?
