Although I already have a 350 and a 650, I wanted the T1 (because of the WiFi) as soon as it was launched, but having had my share of early adopter experiences, I decided to wait for the first feedback here before making the jump. Then there were all these reports on the freezing, so of course that plus the prohibitive price of the device here kept me from getting one.
After the firmware fix, I got the opportunity to get one from France for much less (as in 25% less, Sony, really, an official price difference of 25% between two EU countries with a big common frontier ?????), so I got a red one.

As much as I love my PRS+ modded devices, there is indeed a huge gap between the X50 and the T1. There are many positive aspects speaking for the T1, and they have all been listed here already. The minus point for me is the build of the T1, because I did not mind the weight of the X50 considering the build quality and the haptics of it. But how would they be able to propose such a device for 150€ if not by making some cutbacks along the line ? For the rest, and for my needs (WiFi and the possibility to read my mobis as well as my epubs on the same device), the T1 wins.

But if you don't need WiFi, if you are not into tweaking, and if your whole library is in epub format, I think the X50 are doing a brilliant job.
As a matter of fact, their price on ebay and such never took a dip, which for me is a sign of how good they are.
