(And sorry for the forum's misorganisation stuff..., you should see my house...)
In fact there are three major problems with tablets : their volume, their price and the fact that in Paris, where I do live, you can't take it out of your pocket to read if you want to continue using the arm you were holding it with ^^. Oh, and eye stain witch prevent me to read correctly for more than 2 hours on my laptop...
I thought maybe kindle fire could be a response but eye stain would still be an issue I suppose.
Dear Chrisridd, as you might have noticed the interesting part of the pdf are the first page where the titles and authors are displayed in two column/three and the second page which as a figure organised in the same manner.
Would you find it doable to read them ? For example exiting the column splitting and zooming it with the apple swipe fingers thing ?
When you say it takes time to turn pages, would you say it is long enough to be a pain ?
With this reader would you read pdf files like this one twice or three times a day ? Which would represent 2 or 3 hours reading (reading + documentation...). Could you try the pdf I added (which are a book and a powerpoint transformed in pdf this time, in french my bad ^^).
Could you take screenshots ? I you find the video to time consuming ? (if it is possible, anyway...)
And a question to everyone what would you think about these cheap tablets:
here?
Do it worth it ? What would you think of eye stain ?
Should I rather hack the T1 device ?
