I had a short look at the PDF in question. It looked quite legible in the T1's landscape 'fit width' mode, and the page buttons seemed to work OK although paging was slow. The font in the figure labels didn't look great, and I couldn't be sure but it looked like some characters were rendered as spaces. That could be a major problem.

I'd still want to try it on an iPad instead - a bigger colour screen and more CPU power should improve the rendering.

I'm not really able to take a video of the T1 reading the document, I'm afraid
