I do not know how you manage to get daily emails from Kobo. I certainly don't. And, if you were a little more curious you would have long found the profile account tab on the desktop application that sends you right to the My Account page on the website where you can modify your account information, including opting in or out of the email!

As to your gripe about spamming, there are numerous comments on this forum about how to get rid of them, from downgrading to switching to shortlist display or deleting recommend books on the web page (I personally have yet to see a recommendation from Kobo displayed on my device or on the desktop application). Hopefully, one of those will suit you.
