I don't read the WSJ everyday. Mostly on weekends and then hit-or-miss throughout the week. I've been reading mostly on my T1 recently and so my 950 has been powered off. I probably wouldn't notice here or there if it is only a recent thing. I have a subscription to the Daily Mail as well, but it's the Sunday edition only and therefore not a daily. But, I have never not been able to download an issue from my Sony account on my T1.

Are you sure they aren't holidays that you are missing? For example, this week I did not receive an issue on Monday the 26th, but I'm sure that's because Christmas was on Sunday and so Monday became the holiday. Just like there may not be an issue published this Monday for New Year's.

Could you be having any issues with your wireless connectivity overnight? For example, I had a few issues that I missed when I was having internet problems.
