I remember being on our backs in the grass, when we were kids, to watch the night time stars. It was beautiful and so sparkly. Now, even on a moonless night, it just isn't the same with so much of the city lights on.
I also remember traveling to a friends house in the mountains and we stopped the car to get out and watch meteors cross the sky. I was a moonless night and we had moved a bit away from the car without thinking, just to get a better look away from the trees. When we decided to continue on our way, we realized we couldn't see the car!

It was pitch black and we had to put our hands out and only one person move at a time so we wouldn't get to far off and get even more distance from the car. I had forgot how dark it could be away from any light at all.
Right now, deciding whether to make another cup of coffee or just get going on my errands.
