I have poor sight so have some specific needs

I bought a refurbed Cool-er ereader about 18 months ago and I absolutely love reading on the Eink screen and being able to increase font sizes so I know that ereaders are definitely the way forward for me.

However......

My Cool-er does not handle font changes well and at the largest fonts the margins that got bigger too, meant I only had 3 lines of about 5 words in the centre of screen and even less when reading portrait. I really don't want to have to strip the DRM on the PC and reformat every book I read so the margines and such are all fine at large fonts sizes.

I couldn't get stripping the DRM to work when I first got it either so ended up having to get hold of DRM free copies and fiddling with the formatting just so I could read the books I wanted.

I want to buy a new ereader now and just be able to buy ebooks normally and easily and then alter the formatting from the device with no need for the PC.

Ideally I'd love a 7" one but these really are just few and far between and way more expensive too. A Kindle DX would I think be a bit too big but mostly I just can't afford one as I'd have to import it (I'm in the UK). I put my cool-er ereader next to a friends Kindle Keyboard and the visible screen is a little bigger on mine, are there any other ereaders that are 6" but happen to be a tad bigger?

I'm considering the new Kindle or the Kobo touch but I'm still wishing there was one just a little bigger.

Any advice to help me make the right choice would be very much appreciated.

My condition's called Achromatopsia but it's basically, severe light sensitivity, low acuity and no colour vision.

Many thanks
