I sympathize as I have also had mixed results with the newspapers. I am currently subscribed to The Guardian but have also had subs to the NY Times and the FT. With regards to formatting the NYT, FT and the Guardian are generally very good with no issues. I have had the missing issue once with the Guardian and the issue in question was never re-posted.

The WSJ and The Washington Post on the other hand are full of typos and fomatting issues.

I also have issues with the new Reader software not timestamping the auto-delivered issues correctly - quite often they are stamped with the date of the previous day. This does appear to have improved somewhat with recent software updates to the desktop software but is still a bit hit and miss and the original poster pointed out.

Overall I am very happy with The Guardian as a monthly subscription for 7 issues a week for $9.95 is great value when the price of the print copies here in the UK is around £1.20 GBP a day and £2.00 or more on the weekend.

I also really enjoy the NY Times, but some of the other publications have had issues from the outset that have never been fixed and I agree that the auto-delivery for the T-1 needs to be sorted out. But at least I can download the issues direct to the device and not have to go through the awful desktop software.
