I was immediately sold on it when I was being lazy laying in bed, I wanted a specific book to read, and was able to go into the browser and download it directly to my device. So it has been pretty useful in my experience..
And I've also had both the Kobo touch and T1, and greatly prefer the T1. The plastic casing on the Kobo felt hollow somehow, and the dictionary absolutely pales in comparison to the T1...

What he said. I am not into "surfing". When I had the Kobo (both the Wifi and Touch), I had to plug it into Windows to borrow a library book! We don't use Windows, and so it often meant that in order to borrow an E-book, I had to go directly to the library and plug it into one of their computers to load the book onto my Kobo. I shouldn't have to go somewhere else to obtain an electronic file!
When all that is needed for
basic usage is right there on the device, it has me rolling out the carpet for it. And this is coming from someone who likes transferring files via USB.
I have a netbook for websurfing (it is my main computer). I've never used a mobile phone or driven a car, but I love the convenience of being able to press "Library" on my T1 and downloading the book straight from the device without a fancy song and dance.
