My 3 week old Vox has started playing up. I have the same two issues:
1. It doesn't come out of sleep mode. If I press the power button quickly it goes into sleep mode fine. A quick press will also get it out of sleep mode fine BUT as long as I don't leave it in sleep mode too long. I'm not sure how long 'too long' exactly is but if I come back an hour later it needs a full startup by holding the power button in for 10 seconds to get it to start up. Sleep mode DID work for the first 1-2 weeks I had the product.
2. Power consumption when in sleep mode has shot through the roof! For the first 1-2 weeks, when in sleep mode power consumption was very low: I could put it into sleep mode at night then start it up in the morning and very little power was lost. I could go 3 days with reading and using sleep mode before having to charge up. Now it won't last the night in sleep mode!! Now, if put into sleep mode overnight it's flat by the morning and has to be recharged before I can use it.
It is on the 18 f/w as loaded a few days ago - which didn't fix the issues. I also ensure that wifi is off when going into sleep mode.
At the moment, unless sorted soon, after christmas is over, it will be going back to the supplier :-(
