Bad idea. Now you have extra margins on the top and bottom of every page and you could have other issues. The best solution is to take the original ePub and give it a fix in Sigil. Sometimes it can be as easy as adding height="100%" to the cover page XML file.

If you want to go back to the original ePub, what I'll need is the original cover XML and the size of the cover image in pixels and I will send you back XML code to use in the cover XML. Then you can keep the original ePub.
