Got through to Kobo with my original problem and they have advised me to return the unit. Drove 30 minutes to Bestbuy to exchange it only to be told that they werent doing returns until tomorow.
Anyways....I guess there is no fix for the problems that Troy and I had...on the bright side...the other two ereaders are working great!
