Be careful when buying a used Nook ereader.
Several people on the B&N forum have received a stolen one, when buying used. Those are blacklisted at B&N, and cannot be registered.
Also make sure that the previous owner deregistered the Nook using the option on the device. If the owner just resets the device, it will still be registered at B&N, and you will not be able to register. And it is very difficult to get B&N to solve this.
