I hope for a last minute surge for the le Carré book, but chances are it will be
Black Rain.
Hamlet53, I didn't really realise the le Carré was as grim as some of you are saying, but I still would prefer it over the other as the action and twists in it would make it a bit....
more fun.
I also really don't mind grim (I read and liked The Road not too long ago) but the specific subject matter of
Black Rain does not appeal to me.
Though neither run-off option would be near my first choice, so I was just choosing the better of the two. Here's how I rank this month's nominees:
