For anyone who missed it, the author has now made this free for another day, which if I'm reading her Twitter statuses correctly will make it at least the 3rd day out of the allotted 5.
So after this, it'll probably revert to being $7.99 for the next 3 months, barring some special promotional event on which she can use the other remaining 2 (?) freebie days.
