It may not come with 1.1 in that case. The update is downloaded in background, when WiFi is enabled - so you can prevent an update by having WiFi off, but then that defeats the purpose of using the browser, assuming you have the 1.0 version.

In 1.0, when you type a URL in the search box, it launches the browse and, if you have WiFi enabled, it will load the page, otherwise it will show an error on the browser.
