I'll answer anyway for the benefit of others.
Because they don't know.... to the average person, all they see is a book that is made with double spaced text, triple space between paragraphs, no margins, and they shrug and think that's just the way the publisher made the book. It takes someone with intimate knowledge of e-book structure to see what is wrong and call Kobo out on their sabotage.
