Hey, thanks for checking it out RainingLemur!
Yes, it gets a bit tedious to have to start over and work your way back through the choices, especially when you've identified the best choice for a given question. I remember debating whether I should allow you to just back up a choice or two, but that could easily put the reader in a situation where they would constantly die because they had been so depleted of health and/or manna due to choices earlier on.
In the case of Wizard's Choice, there is often a worst choice, ok choice, and best choice so although you think you picked the 'right' one because you didn't lose any health or whatever, in fact, it might have just been the ok choice and so going back through the game allows you the chance to explore other choices and try to do better than earlier runs.
Your idea for different choices each time through is cool, however, I think it would definitely add a lot of writing--possibly doubling or tripling it depending on how I did it. Nevertheless, it's good food for thought on alternative game designs.
Since you enjoyed Volume 1, I really think you'll dig 2 and 3 because they are more in-depth and longer than 1. Please let me know how it goes. Feedback, even specific feedback on plot points, game design flaws/strengths, etc. is all welcome.
Thanks,
Sam
