I had the exact same problem, with the help of this thread I managed to install non-lite Duokan to kindle FW 3.3. The required files can be found by google, to install the bin files use the "update your kindle" function:
-Install the jailbreak from "kindle-jailbreak-0.10.N.zip".
-Install launchpad from "lpad-pkg-001c.zip".
-Copy the three DK_... folders from duokan to kindle root.
-Copy duokan.ini from post #196 in this thread to launchpad folder on kindle and restart kindle
-Sequentially press: shift, f, d -> a success statement appears at the bottom of screen.
-Restart and the kindle should boot to duokan.
-If you have no further use for jailbreak and launchpad you can now uninstall them using the bins supplied in "kindle-jailbreak-0.10.N.zip" and "lpad-pkg-001c.zip".
