I'd have to say 10-20secs for any task is a bit long.. I have 2171 ebooks on my device between the SD card and internal memory and do notice a slowdown when doing searches and during startup but other than that when reading ebooks, accessing help, or viewing any settings it is very responsive. I believe my startup is about 1.5 minutes also.
