Can you fill in the blanks, about the term; 'practically unusable'?

I'm confused by this, because after I brought the Vox home on Oct 28,th and went through the prime update when setting it up, I had no experience that would have me tag the Vox as 'practically unusable'.

I read, purchased and loaded books, I cruised the Internet. I filled in information masks and Google queries, connected with friends, family, watched full HD movies (until this latest firmware upgrade, my movies had a very slight stutter effect, using Mobo Player), etc.

There were features and minor issues that needed to be fixed in an update to firmware, but never did it impede the INTENT of the tech.

So again, please for the sake of my curiosity....what was your experience that culminated in a reference of 'practically unusable'??!?!?
