My memory usage on my nook is fine since I checked it and it is using 580.25 mg/1.26 (44%). I'm not seriously concerned about memory usage since I can always archive more items.

However, whatever database software is running the nook has to deal with all the titles in my B&N library each time it updates the library, as *metadata about* archived items is still there (whether displayed or not) although the book content is not (as I can hide/unhide them). Does the nook software have trouble handling more than 1500 METADATA items? My husband runs into similar problems in iTunes because he has so many tracks, even though he has plenty of *storage memory*--it doesn't run efficiently.
