No it's not. I'm not exactly sure what it IS about, but "having a wide choice" doesn't even begin to explain why someone would want to pack 10,000 books on one eReader. Not even close.

I've known where Mount Everest is for over 40 years, but not once have I considered packing some climbing gear and hot-footing it to Nepal. So I'm not buying any "'Cause it's there" rationales either.

I suspect it's mostly the novelty of being able to claim you're holding the equivalent of a public library in the palm of your hand. I get that.

Put as many books as you want on it—it's yours... just don't pretend there's a rational, reasonable explanation for why you're taking it to this extreme.
