I completely disagree. My 3 year old grandsons have children's ereaders and will have Kindles as soon as they are old enough, as will all my future grandchildren. It opens up a world to them that we could have never dreamed of as kids.
There is also the fact that pbooks for young children tend to be oversized whereas an ereader is more of a size that even little hands can hold onto easily. At least that's what it looks like to me. I mean which is easier to hold, a book that's almost as large as the child or one they can be sure to be able to hold in one little hand? I'd put them in a cover to protect against accidental dropping though. That's one advantage pbooks have over ereaders. They won't break if accidentally dropped.
