Question Kids and Kindle Store

Okay, so I was crazy, and decided to order one of the $79 non-touch Kindles for each of my two young boys (8 and 6) to encourage reading. The kindles will be on the same account as mine and my SO's Amazon account. My question is whether or not there is a way to prevent them purchasing new books themselves from their own Kindles, without having to put them on separate Amazon account?
