Update:
Tried the dictionary function in another pdf book with Adobeviewer and got normal speed. I guess for some pdf books, the dictionaries work much faster in pdfviewer than in Adobeviewer, for instance pdf with two columns. Unfortunately pdfviewer has page turning problem in the two column mode.
