Why would it be pointless? The beautiful thing about PRS+ is that it installs on top of the Sony operating system. I get the intuitive design of the Sony plus the features that I wished Sony included, like book history and the clock visible on all screens. Are you suggesting that someone is going to come up with a PRS+ equivalent? I can respect that the developers of PRS+ don't want to put in the effort necessary to create a version compatible with the T1, but that doesn't make it pointless.

The only third party apps that I can see being of any value are ones that would open Amazon and B&N books. Since I strip the DRM from them and convert everything to ePub, I consider such apps to be pointless.
