The solution is to put books on a little bit at a time. Keep the 505 plugged into a wall charger because you will be running down the battery as you do this.
If your 505 crashes, then it's a problem with one of the eBooks you've put on and you'll need to find which one and not put it on.
The chances are that it could be one of the RTF or PDF. Try putting on just the ePub and once you are done, then put on the RTF. If that crashes, you know it's a problem with the RTF. Then once you finish with all the RTF that works, put on the PDF until you are done. Sure this is going to take a long time. But 16000 books is rather a bad idea on any reader. You will never read all of them all and I doubt (at the least) that you'd be able to read most of the PDF.
Look at the file before you put them on and see if they are readable. Downloading them from dodgy sources is going to get you a lot of poorly made files and ones that are going to crash your 505.
