Another question. I am converting all mobi to mobi to have metadata on first page. Many of my books are multiformat. I thought that original mobi is not saved when the conversion doesn't change a thing (some already have metadata as first page), but apparently not.
I converted a bunch of books and very few saved original mobi. All others were lost. The only reason for this I can think of is that books are multiformat and another format was chosen as input and replaced original mobi with new mobi.
How to solve this? I want to have original mobi left on calibre. Already lost 100 original files after this convert.
