If you've used the plugin to Import Collections from the Kindle to a custom column, then to remove the entry from the custom column just edit the column (or import from the Kindle again to re-read the collections - but this will overwrite anything else in that column). Editing the column/custom metadata should work - its your column so you can put what you want in it.
