I don't do any manipulation with Calibre other than that which happen in the background through plugins when I import the books and adding new covers. That means I do not end up with a Calibre stylesheet. At one point, the Calibre stylesheet prevented some of the options Kobo has from working properly. It may be that the "look and feel" adjustments are done to counter that.
